Portsmouth winger Kal Naismith revealed his winning goal against Plymouth capped off a “brilliant” month for him.The 25-year-old pounced to net the only goal at Fratton Park on Saturday as Pompey won for the fourth time in their past five matches in all competitions.”It’s been brilliant to be starting and to have been a massive part of it,” the former Rangers trainee told BBC Sport.
“I’m loving it and the lads have had a good run of it of late and that’s even without a few key players with injury.”Portsmouth are up to seventh in League One after three wins in four games, five points off the play-offs places.Naismith found himself out of favour earlier in the season with appearances restricted from off the bench. But he has started the past four league games after initially returning to the starting line-up in the EFL Trophy.”Everything can change pretty quickly in football,” he told BBC Radio Solent. “I knew that six weeks ago and I still know it now.”It’s about keeping your head down and keeping focused on the job you’re asked to do when you come into the side.”It’s an 18-20 man effort in this squad at the moment and we’re getting these wins on the board and we’re all pleased with that.”
